During a laparotomy for a huge liver echinococcus I came against a tinny subcapsular lymphangioma previously on CT investigation thought to be disseminated splenic hydatid cysts . Frozen section showed a multilocular small cystic lymphgangiomas which were situated on three points on the posterior surface of the spleen. The approachable lesions were destroyed by means of electrocoagulation and covered with Surgicel. There was no imaging evidence of total splenic lymphangiomatosis neither for other location of similar cysts on other parts of the body. My decision was to leave the spleen in place. What could be further on expected?
