Some people argue that milk is good for our health in some aspects, but, in others are not. So what are the benefits, and why we shouldn't give milk for babies? Is is because of the lactose?
Cow's milk is good only if you are a calf. Being a cow or an ox it is not recommended at all. We should not have milk from another source, but human beings and up to 3 years when we still synthetise Lactase. To be lactose intolerant is normal. It is not an allergy or a health problem. That means that you are no longer producing lactase and we are made to stop doing that in a early age. Besides, they apply high temperatures to the milk in the pausterization process that take away lots of the life in it. And if you see the long life milk, you should bear in mind that long life is for the milk, not for us who venture to use that product. Long life as the milk can stand out of the refrigerator for up to 4 months. That is a LONG life to an organic product.
I agree with you in part. Ghee is a good fat. It is saturated fat, which is not acceptable by many, but it is healthy. Milk is not exactly the same thing. HDL is a lipoprotein (High Density Lipoproteín) So, it has nothing to do with cholesterol or lowering cholesterol from your diet. The HDL you can use is yours, not from your diet.
Your son needs fat until he is about 2. Otherwise he may develop skin problem among other things. But your milk does need any complement. It absolutely everytnhing you son needs. If you have milk, why to add milk from an animal? You do not produce a weak milk that is not enough to support your son.
