Who use antibiotics in the treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa ? If yes, which kind of antibiotics ?
hidradenitis suppurativa is one of the multifactorial deases but in the result of closed pore of the pilosebaceous duct inflamation play a most prominant role in the deases. i had succesful results with minocycline and doxycycline.and also i use IPL for reducing inflamation and scar formation.
Do you use or have knowledge of clindamycin ou rifampicin as well as the new biologic drugs ?
Clindamycin, rifampicin and the new biologic drugs are useful only for the inflammation.
They do nothing for the sinus tracts under the skin. The best way to eliminate them is with unroofing. See attached.
