Online and blended classes are now mainstream in higher education. What are some of your best practices for students' online presentations as part of course assignments. Do you advise they use both video with speaker narrating slides or one or the other? Your feedback is much appreciated as always.

A narrator with slides would be in my humble opinion the best layout for the presentation of courses online. On the one hand, the image and the sound inevitably interact with the cognitive faculties of the one who lsuit the courses on line

In my opinion winning cobination: teacher on a small screen (optimally: in the lower left corner) and slides with a big screen presentation (window) - and they must dominate the entire screen.

Best Practices for Creating Online Presentations

In our organization we have very recently started online e-learning for our employees through a vendor organization.
- It has link sent to identified employees.
- The link opens up only for those subjects identified for the employee.
- the employee registers with user ID and password
- the log on screen narrates the learning process.
- they have a pretest on the subject. The results of pretest is for familiarity and not seriously taken.
- then the employee reads the text or sees the video lessons.
- end of lesson their is test to evaluate the level of comprehension.
- scores of individuals are emailed to the employee and the Org Dev head.
- based on successful completion of each employee moves to next module on retake the lesson and test.
