I have to simulate as directed in the research paper which says we have to run simulation for viscous laminar model. now i did fi9 meshing overall the geometry and i didnt create inflation layer or near wall treatment. My simple question is that as we know the shear stress formula for laminar flows is independent of Yplus. it means yplus does not affect the wall shear stress and kinematic viscosity, but at the same time we also know that laminar flows also forms boundary layer which is very important to take into consideration for correct analysis. so is that okay not to care about y plus? or what typical y plus value or first cell spacings to capture the boundary layer in globally laminar flows?
