Using literature references, I tried to prepare chitosan hydrogel using the following method:
Chitosan(3% w) in Acetic Acid +(7.5%v) DMSO +(7.5%w) DSP and then stirring overight, followed by freeze thaw method. After freeze thaw, I could not see chitosan hydrogel, but chitosan powder. Can anyone suggest any changes/improvements?
It would be better if you uploaded the paper, so we can discuss clearly regarding the polymer precipitation.

If I understand you correctly, you freeze dried (not thaw) your material? This means you removed the water from your gel, after which, as expected, you get the material back as a powder.
Freeze drying scaffolds do work, but you need far higher concentrations than 3%, at least for collagen and other materials.
I think you caught my mistake Carlos. I think I have freeze dried and not freeze thawed. Thanks for correcting me.
