It is a tricky question. I am surveying papers which research are based on SCADA data in wind farms. As far as I know, people research problems using SCADA data as follows:
1. Wind speed and power prediction
2. Wind turbine fault detection
Are there more good research problems to follow up ?

The timely research topic is wind turbine (all components) failure detection and diagnosis. Prognosis is also expected with the final objective to design predictive maintenance.

Sorry to start with - It depends
SCADA is a broad word, Not all the wind farms/power plants are equipped with a standard SCADA. They are usually equipped based on the owner or operator's requirements and capabilities in terms of budgets, technology, timeline and many more.
On some of them, they are equipped to meet researchers requirements. Even in these, usually focusing on certain research i.e., collecting certain type of data at a certain sampling speed.
Overall, I just wanted to say that it depends on the type of data collected, sampling frequency, time stamp mechanism, data quality, baseline data, time period of data collection and so on.
So, I agree with Mr. Sanjoy Roy that the possibilities are endless.
