Why have humans not learned even though greed has led to the downfall for some? From times immeorial we have seen the role greed plays in cilvilizations. Why are humans not content with what they have? Why are humans not learning from past experiences?
Mahatma Gandhi famously said, "There is enough on Earth to meet everybody's need but not enough for everybody's greed."

I think the human greed is related with the personal behavior and his economic conditions.
Selfishness and pride are the principal causes; always desiring to maintain a public eye but lazy to maintain it leads to greediness in amassing greater wealth from both public and private purses.
Some of us may be good, some may be bad and some are medium in qualities, but ALL of us want the BEST things.
It is correct in every aspect of life.
It is the main reason for our greed.
