A 16 year old girl has more wisdom than some of the leaders of the so-called "developed" world. I hope her speech will make a serious impact and will be cherished in history as much as Dr. MLK's "I Have a Dream Speech." This child's efforts should be recognized and she should be nominated for a Nobel Peace prize. I hope this moment is a turning point.

All sensible persons must support her to initiate a world consciousness on the menace of global warming and how to mitigate it. It is true it is not a easy job but sincere attempts must be made.
Her speech was a profound outpour of the anguish of the youth towards the political dispensation world over pointing how little they are doing to combat climate change effects. Her tenor was hard hitting. Yet the politicians won't be so sensitive to her feelings and things may not change drastically. But I am convinved that children and youth will certainly influence the thinking of their parents, society in which they live and their elected representatives over a period of time.
