For my PhD research I need to describe Constructivism as a theoretical foundation for designing to learn with the use of technology. I'd appreciate your support with some other theories to discuss them.
One particular text I am reading for my PhD in Education in Instructional Design and Technology is pretty helpful in clarifying this question. It actually starts to approach the topic from multiple directions.

I guess it depends what you mean by "technology in education." Behavioral technology in instruction has sound theoretical underpinnings in reinforcement theory. The B. F. Skinner Foundation has a collection of his works that are relevant to your question in The Technology of Teaching. Check it out.
Hi! Greetings from Montevideo, Uruguay. I would suggest to discuss the meaning of technology. In 1967 Charles Perrow defined technology as the way things are done in a given organization. One widely used theoretical model is Activity Theory, the successor to Vygotsky's line of research on learning and development. A key element of the theory is the role of artifacts as mediators of thinking. This is somewhat more current and sophisticated than Constructivism which was current in the 1970s and 80s and based in part on Piaget's work. For an introduction see M. Cole's book Cultural Psychology.
There is a lot of research supporting what is known as Model-Facilitated Learning Environments. Some research was reported by Hestenes (1987, 2006) describing this modeling in Physics, Chemistry, and Physical Science (Zheng & Ferris, 2008, p. 19). The Zheng & Ferris text also describes a concept known as Flexible Learning Theory. This text highlights some history and interesting ideas.

Be sure you read Richard Mayer's work and his contributions to cognitive load theory with respect to e-learning.
Here is a quick read on a link that will be helpful: https://www.learning-theories.com/cognitive-theory-of-multimedia-learning-mayer.html
I will also add links to a few articles I have written than may be of interest to your work. One explores the actual impacts of multitasking on learning; the other explores several technology tools to use in the classroom to enhance learning.
