It is hard to reduce writing style for radio and television news to a few sentences.
The Associated Press, which is known for its stylebook for journalistic writing, also has a separate stylebook for broadcast writing, because writing is different when writing to be read aloud.
But the conventions are not much different - a strong lead that identifies what is new, different, or changing in fewer than 35 words. The story told as much as possible through quotes (in sound or video). The broadcast journalist does not insert the writer's opinion or value judgments. Any opinion or value judgment must be attributed to who said it.
