these materials are used in 3D printer. the final part is combining of two materials that are mentioned before. I want to destroy PLA while ABS isn't corrosion.
So if i understand, you are looking at solvent leaching process?
I dont really have good knwoledge about solvent chemistry but i think this might help.
PLA, being an polyester will underdo hydrolysis in the presence of H or OH ions. I would suggest you to make a strong solution of KOH or NaOH (few trails, .1M to .5M) in distilled water and suspending your sample in it for few hours ( sonicating it will ensure quicker hydrolysis). Since, ABS is resistant to even strong acids, it will not be attacked by the basic solvent.
Just for trial, maybe you have a very small smaple, say 2-5 grams (not in powder form) and try the above method. You will know before hand the ABS:PLA ratio. You can correlate that with weight loss.
