Concrete performance actually improves when several common industrial by products are added, so what are the recycling possibilities for precast concrete manufacturing?
It can be crushed and used as recycled aggregate. Also, depending on how the elements are joined together, whole elements made be reused (with certain conditions). I am sure there are other ways they can be used.
That last paper is a good paper I.e cited 28 times but unfortunately it is only a abstract and you have to pay for the paper unless you are aligned to a University.
Please see a link to another paper below, which is a full article:
We are currently carrying research on this topic, so hopefully we will be able to publish our findings soon. Crushed concrete may lead to an adequate strength for specific structural applications, beside being used as a base for roads, parking lots, and driveways, as well as backfill material and site stabilization.
Dear Messaoud Saïdani .... Thanks for your reply...
That is so great... Hope you will get good result.. and...hope you will share your finding with us..
I'm thinking, that recycled concrete by using crush precast concrete will give less strength than normal concrete used natural aggregate... , ..... did you find something like that, ... or the opposite..?
