This is a common question from the prospective students who seek admission in to engineering education at university level. They also want to which engineering discipline is better and prospective for the future job market.
As the technology changes quickly, the job market directs to these changes. As an example For the Electronics and communications the areas on what I am working as example, all the directions now towards to the Nanotechnology, even we are now on the era of nano networks in the bio-medical applications. The clever student should read the job advertisements on the area on what he likes to study and decide based on that what engineering discipline on that area.
Dear @Muhibul, here is a strange, an emerging approach to higher engineering education! This is not my approach at all! It may be good as a short term approach in some countries!
