My research area is in Structural Symbolic Interactionism (Stryker, 1980) and in Identity Theory (Burke, 1991), which investigates how role identities are adopted, enacted and transformed through interaction. I have found the area to be an excellent place to start in conceptualizing the various role identities we acquire in both our personal and professional lives. These areas also work well in conjunction with Tajfel and Turner's works in Social Identity theory, where SSI and IT represent the sociological sphere of identity articulation, and SIT reflects psychological approaches. I can imagine a number of ways to KSAs using these theories as a reference.
