Casein hydrolysate to be used in preparation of CPG media comes as dry powder. What are the problems faced, if it has absorbed atmospheric water in the bottle provided?
Most probably if its not too old you may use it as you use the dry powder. but if its slurry like then discarding it and purchase a new one is desirable. Generally for bacteriological, isolations we use nutrient rich media so some water content do not create much problem as far as component changes color to darker shades.
