There is no knowledge of anything smaller than the associated wave of the concerned particles. This due to the Quantum Mechanical theory which is a theory using the associated wave as its basic constituent. This means that you can't know anything smaller than this, if you insist on using QM.
Actually we are able to indirectly view them, by looking at the wavelenghts atoms/molecules emit and absorb, which give insight into their structures. QM is able to confirm the observed wavelengths in absorption and emission spectra of atoms/molecules.
