Governance is a very broad field, especially since the individual corporate functions must each have a specialized governance (e.g. tax governance, IT governance). From an application-oriented research point of view, the main questions for me are integration, both the model and method integration of the three areas of governance, risk and compliance (often abbreviated as "GRC"), and the integration of the respective management systems, i.e. the internal control system, the risk management system (RMS) and the compliance management system (CMS).
