While displaying data we should remove all non-data-ink, redundant data-ink, too much graphics, and increase the data-ink-ratio and create sound graphical design. What are the pitfalls of data visualizations you can suggest to me to avoid them???
Notwithstanding the insights from big data visualization, it would be good idea to consider some tips from information design. In particular the seminal work of Edward Tufte in this area. Personally, I would say, getting to know what is already in their minds and working with that as a bridge is a challenge. Because, in a sense, information design is about "programming the mind"-the last hurdle after we have "programmed (structured) our data".
