I am currently engaged in a study to test the allelopthatic effects of Croton hirtus and Diodia scandens on germination and seedling emergence of maize seeds at 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50g/L of distilled water, with distilled water as control treatment. Information on phytochemical analysis of these plants are currently unavailable in Sierra Leone. Both weedy plants dominate both non-crop and crop fields, causing serious damages to crops due to high competition effect. Laboratory facilities for this job is unavailable in Sierra Leone.

From observation, Croton hirtus at higher concentrations appeared to exhibit some level of inhibition to germination than Diodia scandens at the same concentrations. Please help to provide information on list of bio-active compounds present in the leaves of these plants.
