To validate the virtual topology design over optical label switched networks, especially optical label switching networks, one can use the traffic loss and end-to-end delay as performance metrics related to the traffic requirements. However, there are other parameters can be used to validate the approach of topology design such as link capacity and buffering capability of the core nodes.

The proposed approach can be used to solve the topology design problem using the control plane such us LDP protocol. However, Data plane can enhance the use the built topology through the use of the advanced switching protocol which is based on the set of control and switching labels.
