I have sadly discovered recently that there are many scams happening in the scientific community in the name of Open Science.
In light of this, would you please point me to a scientific gathering in the fields of Microbiology and Pharmacology in which a young researcher could present their work ?

There are many reputable conferences that take place, however microbiology and pharmacology are both really large fields. Most of the conferences tend to specialize on some subset of the field, for example in microbiology you will have conferences on infectious diseases, pathogenesis, genome biology, industrial applications, environmental and also conferences on specific types of organisms (TB for example). One thing you could look at to confirm is whether the conference is being sponsored or supported by one of the learned societies in the discipline, for example ASM, SIMS, Microbiology Society and dozens of others, that would be a good sign.
Microbiology is a multidisciplinary subject. So huge number of conference you will get like Food pathogenesis, Microbial diversity and it's impact on environment, Cell biology, Genome analysis and interpretation, Application of microbes, Infection control and so on....but most important one is American Society for Microbiologist (ASM) conference, in Bangladesh You will get Bangladesh Society for Microbiologist (BSM).
Microbiology and pharmacology are huge multidisciplinary fields and it is advisable to narrow down your field of interest to certain specilization. This is dictated by your own research projects. The highest quality conferences and journals are those of microbiological societies like the asm and British microbiological society. Your choices of conferences and journals will depend on the quality of your work.
