What are the most expected advances in tribology and hydrodynamics for the next years?

The breakthroughs expected in the next decade, especially in the areas of fluid dynamics and hydrodynamics.

I think understanding in tribology at nano and atomic scale will increase in coming decade. This i think will be the thrust area in coming years.
