I am currently looking for comprehensive literature reviews on this topic that evaluates our current status and understanding of how pedagogical interactions in higher education have been investigated using conversation analysis methodology.
The forthcoming Wiley-Blackwell Handbook of Classroom Discourse and Interaction (of which I am the editor; it's coming out on May 4 2015. See the link below) contains four chapters on the use of CA to analyze classroom talk, though not necessarily in higher education. Six other perspectives are also featured in the Handbook. See the attached table of contents for details.
The Chronicle for Higher Education provides updated information related to pedagogy and higher education, however related to literature reviews you might want to start by researching different perspectives related to your topic then condensing them together. The Society for Public Health Educators (SOPHE) just published a new journal related to Pedagogy and Healthcare you might want to read the journal to see how they link together research with practice.
conversational research on language development has been studied widely, though using flipped learning, collaborative learning and simulation and gaming is becoming trendy. See some of our research below.

Thank you so much for your response. Just to clarify the problem a little bit more. I am currently conducting conversation analysis (CA) studies on the teaching and learning of students and demonstrators in the anatomy teaching laboratory sessions of an undergraduate radiography professional degree program.
My research aims to apply the conversation analysis (CA) analytical perspectives to identify the socio-cultural interactional principles that guide and influence teaching-learning processes during different phases of the laboratory session such as the formal introductory phase, and the laboratory activity phase.
Thus, I am looking for studies of face-to-face interactions and dialogues in an educational institution context.
Hope that clarifies my problem, and thank you for your answers. I will definitely follow up your recommendations!

Sobre todo recomiendo el artículo "educabilidad y normalidad. Imaginarios de maestros en formación" donde se genera un proceso de investigación desde esta lógica
There are also several interesting articles by Elisabeth Stokoe, Bethan Benwell and F.T Attenborough on university tutorials. They focus, however, more on displays of student identity and resistance towards academic expectations than teaching-learning processes as such so I´m not sure whether this is what you were actually looking for. But if you´re interested, check, for example this one: Stokoe, E.; Benwell, B. & Atteborough, F.T. 2013. Hi Kevin, I also looking at Conversation Analysis in an education setting - examining the debriefs that occur following simulation scenarios for health care professionals. Specifically looking at how conversation structures set up the learning point to be addressed in different phases of the session.
I have focussed on ethnomethodology, classroom discourse, and institutional setting conversation analysis for developing my methodology but am now looking at CA of group settings to further inform my methodology.
I don't have access to any reviews but happy to share my reading list if this sounds relevant to you.
Are you using straightforward Conversation Analysis or will you draw on discursive psychology or other methodologies? I have found that one limitation of my methodology is that it doesn't take account of non-verbal communication or group dynamics so will definitely amend my methdology for future research in this area.
That sounds very interesting and along the lines of my research but in a different setting. If you wouldn't mind sharing the reading list that would be great, and I would really appreciate it!
I am using straightforward Conversation Analysis but I am using video footages so I am finding that my analysis involves frame-grabs of the non-verbal that is co-occurring with the talk itself. I am not drawing on any other methodology for my thesis at the moment, and feel quite confident that the CA methodology is quite sufficient in describing, characterising, and understanding pedagogical interactions. There is CA work discussing group dynamics using terms like 'affiliation' and 'participation framework'. Also, recently revived discussion of 'epistemics' by Heritage also links into the management of group dynamics and the creation of power/knowledge gradients through formatting of sentence structures.
Due to my time constraint to finish my thesis, I am not planning to expand my methodology too much, but I was very interested in the discursive psychology work by Potter and te Molder or even the CA-cognition discussion by Koschmann and Lindwall. I have recently came across Amy Cuddy's TedTalk and have been thinking about incorporating the social psychology work she refers to into my literature review so that I might be able to draw upon that during my discussion. CA has not investigated institutional talk in the likes of the anatomy laboratory so at this stage there is value in understanding how anatomy laboratory pedagogical interactions differ in dynamics and structure to institutional talk in other settings.
