What are the methods that can be used to control desert locusts that have invaded Kenya?

Currently Kenya has been invaded by large swam of desert locusts that are destroying both food and cash crops and pasture for livestock. Please may you explain strategies that can be under taken to manage this insect?

There is already a big surveillance system available at The Food and Agriculture Organization scale. Before any swarm begins to develop, the Icipe formulated entomofungus " Green Muscle" and microsporidean Nolo specifically built can be applied on Area-wide basis to prevent this threatening swarm. In India, instances of locust swarm based damages were recorded, neem based products when applied on crops, they were avoided by locust swarm.
