1) Perfusion fixation with 4% PFA in PBS through heart, followed by OCT cryostat procedure for analyses by IF, In situ hybridization
2) Perfused PBS-DEPC and snap freezing in LN2, followed by storage -70C to preserve tissue mRNA for molecular studies.
3) Isolate brain and snap freezing in LN2, followed by storage at -70C to preserve tissue proteins and genome for biochemical and epigenetic studies, respectively.
4) CLARITY technique for IF or GFP/CFP/RFP/YFP transgenic mice for nerve networks studies.
