A.

Qualitative psychological variables like: 1. love, 2.anger, 3.greed, 4.desire & 5.expectation can be grouped (with some consideration) in to one area, where researches have been done on both of its positive as well as negative aspects. [For example: A little bit of 'anger' within a person may not be 'bad'; while a very high 'expectation' can be negative;... argued/ viewed/ researched by the scholars.]

B.

But in the other category, variables like: 1.Sorrow; 2.Grief, 3.Frustration; 4.Anxiety.. etc are mostly taken/ analysed in their 'negativity' [or from negative aspect]. As we find examples of extreme situations (of suicide cases), arising out of (some/ combination of) this second category variables. This happens to many legendary, popular figures of our society, (whom we earlier believed to have strong mental power) taking such extreme step (of suicide), at the 'height' of one/ some of such variables (like, Sorrow; Grief, Frustration). Strange/ rare events also take place in our society, where we find, even during (extreme) 'love' a partner kills the other. Examples are many, happening almost evenly across the globe.

C.

Such an area, where research interest is on to find: 1. factors affecting; 2. measuring the extremities (or 'heights'); 3. finding possible ways of 'controlling', attracts attention regularly, because of its social relevance.

Shall appreciate, if the fellow scholars, update on the 'latest research updates' on part-C, as above.
