After cancer immunology became clear, the immunotherapy seems very much promising. However it's still in its infancy and both it and we are yet to learn many things. At present precise surgery with adjunctive chemo/radiotherapy is the common trend in neurology practice in my institute. Precision of surgery has been refined thanks to stereotactic surgical procedures.

Surgery, radiation, and chemo are ineffective and known as cut, burn, and poison,. Surgery causes air especially nitrogen to spread cancer cells preventing apoptisis. Radiation causes cancer ,remember how Marie Curie died and remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Chemo is poison which does not kill the cancer stem cells causing the disease but kills good cells causing horrific side effects. The most promising treatments are oxygen therapy which Ronald Reagan had successfully when he had colon cancer. Also immunology and immunotherapy works with the body's immune system and not against it. Cancer is,autoimmune and an alteration of DNA code and blueprint of the code. Also exercise and healthy eating also help

New Cancer Treatment Makes Tumor Cells Commit Suicide

Researchers at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Australia have developed a new drug that may be a cancer cure-all. The drug, called TR100, works by attacking the proteins that form the structure of cancer cells, while leaving healthy cells alone. Their study, which involved tests on lab rats, was published this month in Cancer Research.

"We've really gone after the core component of the internal scaffold or structure of the cancer cell,” said Stehn, a research fellow in the Oncology Research Unit at the UNSW School of Medical Sciences, in an interview with Healthline. "[When] the cell senses that there's something fundamentally wrong with its architecture, it will undergo programmed cell death."

Programmed cell death is a genetic time bomb lurking inside each cell in the human body. If a cell is damaged, infected, or otherwise no longer working properly, the body can signal it to self-destruct. "It's like when you see a building collapse,” said Stehn. “If you take out the structure and the scaffolds, the building will fall in on itself."

Programmed death causes the cell to break itself down into tidy little packets of material that other cells can absorb, recycle, and reuse.

TR100 appears to trigger this progress in cancer cells by destroying the two tropomyosins that cancer uses. However, stem cells also rely on this form of tropomyosin. Stem cells are active in a developing embryo, generating all of the new cells that will eventually form a healthy baby.

“When a cell is proliferating or growing, tropomyosin is really important,” said Stehn. “When a cell differentiates and becomes a heart cell, a lung cell, or a brain cell, it's no longer growing, and the role of tropomyosin changes and targeting it with [TR100] is no longer toxic."

I take a pessimistic position in the fight against cancer, as recently I witnessed the death of many famous people whicb did not be the poor. They spent a lot of money on chemotherapy, but it still did not save them. True, after the chemotherapy sessions there were temporary improvements, but then still irreversible deterioration came. For example, my favorite singer, Dmitry Hvorostovsky, recently died of cancer of brain. I would not want to be pessimistic, because the first source of healing is first of all the patient's confidence, willingness and comfort that has a direct influence on the cure rate. Nevertheless, it is common knowledge that the survival rate increases from year to year thanks to the many treatments. This is unfortunately wrong for more than 90% of patients. It is true that the sick live longer: twenty years ago the survival period was calculated in months, ten years later in years and now in fifty. But it is also true that cancers are detected much earlier, 5 to 10 years earlier. We did not increase the success rate but we expanded the time scale and moved it to the origin of nearly 20 years. This is an observation I make every day. In fact surgery + radiotherapy + chemotherapy, all three cummules gives results on survival but not on healing. This only shifts the time scale, because anyway this triple treatment will induce new cancers even more violent. the cause is the destruction of the immune system that is no longer doing its job. New therapies try to protect, help or stimulate the immune system. very big progress is being made in this area .

The ultimate treatment is now to understand why the immune system is deficient and correct it to allow other treatments to work. The targeting of pDCs is currently on the rise, and their reprogramming is in vogue. Just as the work on the gut microbiota is very promising. All this to return to the starting point of this message: the comfort and well-being of the patient is the first remedy. A well-stimulated immune system is a guarantee of prolonged survival.
