I want to compare primary care status in different countries. Need to get an idea of the measures taken by different countries to estimate their primary care coverage.e.g primary care doctor to patient ratio.
I think UHC indicators are not directly assess the primary care status. The measures should be actually assessed regularly and scientific evidence need to be showed.

Proximity to Primary care centre, Adequacy of support staff / para medical services, availability of required infrastructure and process including availability of medical tests & medicines, What all is covered in primary care as against what exactly is required, Special support to women, children and aged people, etc
1. primary healthcare facilities
2. high Porcentage of covered population
3. physician and population ratio
4. waiting time
5. patient satisfaction...
It could be comparison of level of health care services quality wise between various countries, e g. topic may be maternal care .
Indicators can be like:-
1. Total number of antenatal mothers registered within 12 weeks. 2. Number of Td immunization 1st , 2nd /booster doses given, 3. Total number of antenatal mothers given 4 ANC quality check up, 4. Total number of high risk mothers identified & managed in High Risk Pregnancy Unit, 5. Total number of antenatal mothers given one tablet of Albendazole 400 mg in second trimester, 6. Total number of antenatal mothers given tablet iron folic acid × 6 months, 7. Total number of antenatal mothers delivered live births in health institutes & provided free transportation to & fro, free diet, free drugs & consumables , Kangaroo mother care, 8. Total number of newborns given at birth of OPV ( 0 dose) , BCG & Hepatitis B , 9. Total number of mothers given iron folic acid tablets after delivery for 6 months,10. Total number of home based visits made by ASHA & MPHW ( female) i.e. on 3, 7, 14,21,30 & 42 days to the homes of mothers, 11. Total number of High Risks newborns identified & referred to health centre through free referral transport,12. Total number of infants fully immunised.
Thank you all, for sharing your inputs. When referring to primary care coverage status, I thought of both out comes and service coverage. Doctor to patient ratio are available for most of the countries, but the type of service is not considered. Proximity studies done in many HIC but less in LMIC. I accept that an indicator like vaccination status and MCH services would be a standard indicator to compare primary care service provision. I will include it. Thanks again
