Parami Abeyrathna, the first thing for you to know is that CFA cannot be performed with SPSS - unfortunately.

Second, given the number of participants in your sample and the number of items, I think it might be best to conduct CFA with about half of the participants and stipulate that you anticipate getting the four factors with their "predetermined" items. Maybe that would turn out to be successful despite what your EFA has shown. (Of course, you would need to have conducted the EFA with approved methods, e.g., using parallel analysis and the scree plot, NOT the eigenvalues > 1, to predict the number of factors in the data.)

If the CFA did not produce the results you expected, and perhaps even if it did, then you could run an EFA, or EFAs, with the other half of your participants.

Thank you so much for the answer. I am originally planned to split the sample to two and perform EDA in one sample and CFA in the second. I understand that spss is not the tool for CFA. Please suggest me free tools I can use to do this CFA.
