What are the implications of interactomics on food secuirty?

Provided the recent increase in global climate science policy implementation after the Paris Summit, what are the major implications associated with the implementation of food security measures in both developing and developed nations, in relation to emerging technologies such as interactomics which promises to bring the world of system biology, omics studies (metabolomics proteomics etc.) together, given the myriad of challenges associated with policy formation and legal implications of already rigid framework given existing patent laws.
