Roshani, you're asking for two answers. Guidelines based on ALL types of evidence and ALL kinds of research do exist. They have been published in 2006 and 2008. For treatment of complicated wounds: Whitney J et al (PU); Robson MC et al (VLU);

Hopf HW et al (AIU) and Steed DL et al (DFU). For prevention: Stechmiller JK et al (PU); Robson MC et al (VLU); Hopf HW et al (AIU) and Steed DL et al (DFU). The treatment of acute wounds have been reviewed by Franz MG et al in 2008.

Organizations like Cochrane, or so called systematic reviews and meta-analyses that consider some types of 'evidence' and research and contend that all other types of evidence and research should be excluded from the evidence base should not be trusted. Cutting et al (see reference) published a paper where all of this is explained in detail. I hope this will help you.
