I know that the higher the engine speed, the higher the temperature of the exhaust gases.
but I mean is there an equation linke between engine speed and exhaust gas temperature or exhaust mass flow rate?

Diesel Engines inlet valve recession/regression?
Question

Asked 10 February 2014
Jackson Magaya
Further to my earlier question on what could the cause/s of inlet valves fast recession problem I wish to add the following:
-The capacity of the engines in question is 11.967Litre
- Recently, new inlet valves and seats from a similar engine, but from a different manufacturer were built into one of the engines in question about 7 months ago, but the recession problem continues (The valves are interchangeable and the engine capacity is 12.816 Litre)
- The similar engines ( The 12.816L) do not experience the same recession problem.
- The increased rate of regression has been noticeable in the last 2 yrs
- The 11.967Litre engines (The recession problem engines) have a compression ratio of 17.25 : 1 while the 12.816L engines have compression ratio of 17.75 : 1

Arshad Rahman p
Is there a way to increase the efficiency of a 2 stroke engine, and in turn obtain a greater power from the engine, can we introduce a new scavenging mechanism, in order to decrease the fuel used to get the exhaust fuel out of the engine and thus increases the fuel efficiency and thus the power.

Hi, I am doing an investigation into air fuel ratio for a single cylinder engine for better performance and emissions, which translates into use of turbomachinery to achieve this. Can volumetric efficiency be the baseline and criteria for performance increase? I have also yet to encounter any publications that documented emissions analysis in computational fluid dynamics, and catalytic converter design.

I noticed that sound of the engine of my car is different in summer, winter and the rainy season. Do you think that perhaps the percentage of moisture in the air could be the reason for this and if so, is the only reason?
