It depends which area you are talking about. THe main patterns are strongly driven by the strong Mooson signal over there (northen mooson in winter, and southern mooson in summer). Coastal areas in South Vietnam is strongly affected by Mekong, as well as in the coastal areas in the Thailand gulf. THe central part in front of Vitnam is strongly affect by the Na Trang upwelling (very high Chl, and fishing area).
