In general, the growth of the surveying and mapping businesses is driven by the state of economic development of a particular country. This growth should not be mixed or confused with the surveying practices and routine work of different government and private sectors such as the ones that support land registration, taxation, and construction activities. By growth we do mean a strong and new demands that go beyond the existing services to support the economic development. On the other hand, this argument of connection btween the growth of surveying and mapping business and the economic development may not be clear in developing countries. I do appreciate your feedback.
