Informed consent from participants (if it is a human subjects study), ethical treatment of subjects including animals, honesty, no fabrication of data or methods, no exaggeration of results, citing sources properly and respecting confidentiality of sources should they opt to remain anonymous, and so on.

As journal editor - not to ask reviewer to start reviewing a manuscript half-way through then tell the reviewer that his / her review service is not needed.
