What are the equations that are used to convert a specific wavelength from incoming solar radiation by using a PV cell into electricity? For example: the effect of red light separately on the PV cell.

The incident solar radiation is composed of many radiation components with different wavelengths lambda, or photon energy Eph. So there are a frequency spectrum for the incident solar radiation ranging from radio waves to deep ultraviolet. The solar irradiance spectrum curve gives the radiation power per unit area per unit bandwidth interval.
On the other side when semiconductors such as silicon receive such radiation it reflects part of it and absorbs the rest if sufficiently thick. When photons of the absorbed light have energy greater than the energy gap it will be absorbed and generates an electron hole pairs. How the generated electron holes are separated and collected to affect the electromotive force of the solar cell is the role of the built in electric field in the junction of the solar cells.
The photon energy is related to the wavelength by the relation:
Eph= hc/lambda
where h is the Planck consatnt.
