I am using two different inhibitors (Staurosporine and Go6983) for HeLa cells. I have noticed that cells treated with staurosporine grow slower than those treated with Go6983. This is based on change in color of the medium RPMI.
PKCz/p70S6K/BADSer112 phosphorylation/Glycolysis/lactate production/pH change/medium color change. This is the likely signaling axis for your result. Check my papers for references.
Thank you Samantha. Go6983 is also a pan inhibitor but the effect seem different than Staurosporine. I also thought may be its not as effective as Stauropsorine in inhibiting all PKCs.
