Hello,

I am currently measuring dark field scattering spectra of gold nanoparticles/PVA (polymer) nanocomposites. The composite films are deposited on glass substrates.

As the nanoparticules density is very high, it is difficult to find an area of the sample without nanoparticles.

I have been trying to take reference spectra to normalise my measurements, but I could not find a way to be reproductible. Up to now I tried to remove the device that blocks the center of the beam, I tried to take a reference on a defect that scatters a lot and I tried to take a dark field spectrum on a glass surface but I'm not very happy with my results (see attached file).

So if someone could give me a hint it would be wonderful.

Thank you,

Regards,

Elie
