Define pyrolysis characteristics. You mean the physics and chemical properties of the biomass? Or maybe the oil?
And about the kinetics of this type of lignocellulosic biomass, you can look for a kinetic model for the degradation of biomass to cellulose, hemi-cellulose and lignin. Or determine the kinetics of this particular type of biomass using a Thermogravimetric Analysis technique [check this paper for example: Pyrolysis and combustion kinetics of date palm biomass using thermogravimetric analysis (Article)]. Although the mechanism will not be very analytical and the kinetic parameters may not be very accurate.
In addition, pyrolysis characteristics mean here the quantitative analysis of solid, liquid and gas produced at particular conditions (temperature for example) which can be sorted as slow and fast pyrolysis. Slow pyrolysis usually use for oil production where fast pyrolysis needs for gas.
Kinetics of palm kernel shell may you mean here the thermal decomposition of all three components as mentioned (Chrysi Karagiannaki) which can be divided to isothermal and non isothermal conditions. For similar conditions, one can do kinetics using model equations. For palm kernel shell, please look into "Kinetic Study on Palm Oil Waste Decomposition. And also see " Critical analysis of the isoconversional
The recommendation about the kinetics on palm oil is good. I was not aware that there was a study on palm oil. Although, if you mean by pyrolysis characteristics the production of gas, char and liquid, as Mr. Zakin Khan is suggesting, then you need to define the conditions, the type of reactor you are using, the pre-treatment of the biomass as well as the biomass shape, size, if it is dried or not (as all these effect the heat transfer rates in the reactor).
By the way, conventional slow pyrolysis has been applied for thousands of years and has been mainly used for the production of charcoal while fast pyrolysis uses much faster heating rates than traditional pyrolysis and the advanced processes are carefully controlled to give high liquid yields.
