Has anyone spin-coated polyethylene (medium density) onto SiO2 surface? What is the conditions to get smooth homogeneous film? For example concentration of PE, solvent, spin speed.
I follow the procedure in this paper:

"medium-density polyethylene in decalin was spun at 190 °C onto the substrates and annealed at 90 °C for 3 h. Root-mean-square roughness of the dielectric interface produced in this way is 24 Å (2 times 2 microm)"
The paper that Abdul Kayum has suggested as a resolution to your question has nothing to do with spin coating and nothing to do with polyethylene.

This paper has a lot of useful information regarding effects of polymer crystallization, the temperature to spin coat at etc. Good luck
