Popular experimentally investigated nanotubes are carbon nanotubes, silicon nanotubes, BN nanotubes, WS2, TiO2, ZnO…etc. Some researchers suggest all III-VI compounds such as AlP, GaAs, GaP, InAs…etc to have the possibility to construct nanotubes.
