Judean sage botanically known as Salvia judaica is a perennial shrub belonging to the family Lamiaceae native to Mediterranean region. The main compounds reported in different species/cultivars of sages are the sesquiterpene including alpha-humulene and the monoterpenes beta-pinene, eucalyptol, and camphor. Judean sage contained mainly the sesquiterpenes beta-cubebene and ledol.
