In theory the self-regulated flipped classroom sounds great but in reality, it is not. Some of the challenges of student face in flipped classroom are procrastination and time management, lack of motivation, difficulty in understanding content alone, inadequate access to technology and lack of cognitive.
I agree with Flordeliza, but I believe the most significant factor is the lack of motivation. When learners are motivated, effective learning naturally follows, bringing all its benefits.
As flipped classrooms is gaining popularity in educational institutions, it becomes imperative to understand students’ self-regulated learning in this environment due to countless studies showing the criticality of self-regulation to the success of every technology.
Fipped classroomsbeen a new type of blended learning and is yet to be fullyunderstood, and also researchers feel that flipped classroomis an active learning type of blended learning and is therefore self-regulation is not as critical as in the default blendedlearning environment.
