Can you please help me with references/books/articles on nonlinear process dynamics? I would like to begin from the scratch, so kindly give the suggestions accordingly.
I do need references on nonlinear process dynamics in chemical processes. However, isn't it necessary to understand general nonlinear systems first?I don't know exact answer to this question. I will be grateful if you can shed some light on it.
For either subject area, there is an ample choice of books.
Since you are beginning from the scratch, I suggest you go to Google books, check out some of the books listed there in terms of content, and then decide which one to follow.
There is no point making a general suggestion, with eventually the reader realizing that he needed a different set of topics.
Very well, sir. I will do that. For general nonlinear systems, I am aware of books by Prof. Khalil, Prof. Vidyasagar and Prof. Sastry.
However, my area of interest is nonlinear process dynamics in chemical processes. I have already read books by Seborg and Stephanopoulos (which focuses on linear process dynamics in chemical processes).
And again the question is : To understand nonlinear process dynamics in chemical processes, is it necessary to understand general nonlinear systems?
I would say, yes-and-no !! It helps to know nonlinear systems !!!
But since knowing all of nonlinear systems is a tall order, most people (including myself) go ahead with nonlinear systems dynamics and branch into nonlinear systems as and when required ...
