Dear all,

I am curious to know about the benefits of becoming an editor of a journal or an editorial board member. Many researchers are doing these responsibilities by investing their time and efforts and advancing the publication industry.

At times, we see some editors say their jobs are voluntary and we should not request them too much to speed up the review process. At this point, it`s natural that the editors are not motivated to invest their time and efforts.

Shouldn`t publishers pay them as many publishers are earning  huge profits?

If someone gets an offer of becoming an editor or an editorial board member, how should he take a decision on this?

Regards,

Ali Syed Mithun.
