I'd like to have a go at producing some emulsion droplets water in oil using microfluidics where ideally I can control droplet size from say 20 to 200 microns.

Obviously I need to be able to pump 2 fluids, I need some kind of chip to mix them and some way to make connections:

For the chip cross shape seems common. I don't have photo lithography but I can make pdms pretty easily. Is there some kind of mold or reusable chip that I can buy?

For the pumps I have a single syringe pump and could get another one. Will these be ok or does the pulsing of the stepper motor cause problems.  I notice the kits use other methods.

Good advice on cost effective ways of pumping,  connecting, making / buying chips and other "dummies guide to microfluidics" would be much appreciated!
