In particular I'll be looking for a panel of miR-SNP, this panel will be used in a case-control association study.
I have collected info on
chromosome no and location, MAF, ancestral allele, Gene, intragenic/exogenic etc, sequence
My question is what other additional features regarding a particular SNP should I keep in mind/collect to portray its significance in the study?

I think that one of the principal confounding factors in an association study is the population stratification which can leads to a false positive results.
Information to look for your SNP is the number of alternative alleles. Classically it's one but some SNPs can have more which change the interpretation of your test.

So, before going for a study with a SNPs, may be it is vital to know about the impact first on genetics or physiology as the information, everyone is going for, need to find a study, significant at least.
Allelic variations, method of detection, locations, population genetics on your desired SNP that you are planing to study with. All these issues comes together, actually.

I think that the information you alredy have about each SNP is fine.. the main thing in an association specially if it is a case-control, is to define the population of study well, that make sure you really have contrasting individuals.
