I'm studying characteristics of students' language when they are engaged in covariational reasoning. Meanwhile, I followed an inductive approach to characterize categories. However, I'm also looking forward to examine appropriate linguistic analysis models or frameworks.

Thank you for your reply. Basically the context is in mathemaical reasoning, and I intend to follow the syntax and semantic analysis of the themes, and I'm looking forward to frame this in a formal appropriate framework. Michael suggested the Corpus analysis. I read about this approach, it seems more appropriate for big data and considers using software for quantitative analysis of the corpus. I need to read more resources to compare and chose the most appropriate.
I have not thought about what you suggest. I had a quick search fo what you suggested. The first resoure (book) is meanwhile unavailable, and I need to order via the library. the second and third resources are available and I need to read and examine whether they fit the context I already illustrated.
