To all the mentioned reasons, you may add:
Research paper was rejected as less relevant (although it is admitted that the work is good) because of the publication divide. Papers from people like us in Asia are less relevant to readers in UK, US etc...
Research paper rejected and the reviewers gave contrary suggestions as to how it should be improved. A reviewer says, 'there is no need to go into details', and another says, 'describe the EFA/CFA in detail'.
